Hashtag Battles – Compete and make a hashtag win!

Are you having the presentation of a product line? Can you imagine a feud between some of those products? Even more, can you imagine people competing on Twitter to make a product of the line win that feud? If so, you definitely have to try our hashtag battles! A hashtag battle is the best way of presenting a real time analysis for Twitter and Instagram on an innovating way. You just have to pick up a team and fight to make your hashtag win.

Hashtag Battles – Pick up a team and tweet!

It is quite amazing the things Tweet Binder is able to do just collecting tweets sent under a certain hashtag or key word. With our hashtag battles, we confront hashtags and make people tweet with one of those hashtags to make it win. This is a great way of encouraging people to participate even more at your event, presentation, conference or TV/radio program and it is perfect to give huge exposure to it.

Here are some examples:

#MsExpertise Vs. #MrChollazo.

A client was having a round table and wanted to make the most of it. So this is the idea we came up with. In order to make assistants talk as much as they could about this event and encouraging them to be a direct part of it, we put two hashtags face to face: #MsExpertise Vs. #MrChollazo.

This is how the Wall looked like at the event:

#EquipoMateo Vs. #EquipoAndrea

You can also confront the hosts of a TV/Radio show. To give exposure to the sponsor, the brand Ronfunding, a hashtag feud was launched between the two commentators of the radio station. Participants were asked to vote for their favorite commentator using either of the hashtags. Each day the counter was reseted so each day a new battle was taking place!

This gave huge exposure not only to the show itself but also to the sponsor as participation grew day by day.

#RMadrid Vs. #Barça

Football matches between Real Madrid and F.C. Barcelona are always a great event not only in Spain but also WorldWide. What we did was to analyze during the week of the match the hashtags #HalaMadrid and #ViscaBarça, this way we could see which team was winning on Twitter.

Finally, the day of the match we set the score based on which team won each day of the week.

The Ballon D’Or gala always has huge repercussion in social media. That is why we decided to have a hashtag battle between the two football cracks Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. As people were tweeting about either of those players, we collected the tweets and they were automatically uploaded to the wall were the hashtag battle was being displayed.

So, what do you think? Do you dare to have a hashtag battle? It’s on! Do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help you!
